If you have a subnet with 2 zero’s (like 10.0.0.x) you are able to omit the zero’s with ssh logins.
Ssh auto expands zero’s.
For instance 10.49 expands to 10.0.0.49
[root@beta /root]# ssh 10.49
The authenticity of host '10.49 (10.0.0.49)' can't be established.
Is this a bug or a feature? That’s the question.
